We are the Mayor’s Fund for London, a charity that champions opportunities for young Londoners facing the biggest barriers. Together with the London Resilience Unit, we are carrying out a project to make sure young people’s voices are heard in emergency planning for the city.
This survey is about hearing from young Londoners aged between 16-25 on how prepared you feel for different emergencies – such as floods, pandemics, power cuts, or the cost of living crisis. Your views will help shape how London supports young people before, during and after tough situations.
What do we mean by resilience? Resilience can mean different things, so here’s how we’re using it in this project:
Personal resilience is about how you cope, adapt and recover from challenges in your own life.
Community resilience is about how groups of people – like families, neighbourhoods or whole boroughs – work together and support each other when there’s a big disruption or crisis.
In this survey, we’re most interested in community resilience and how young Londoners can be part of making the city safer and stronger. But we know your personal experiences are part of this too, so we welcome both.
This survey is anonymous. At the end, you’ll have the option to enter a prize draw for Amazon vouchers by providing your email. Your survey answers and prize draw entry will be stored separately.
It should take 5–10 minutes to complete and works best on a smartphone or computer.
